Through AECS Connect Office Hours, students have the opportunity to learn from qualified chemistry instructors and study alongside peers from across the nation. Our sessions are thoughtfully organized to promote skill development in areas such as pattern recognition, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Each session is conducted over Zoom using interactive whiteboards. Students can meet at any time during open drop-in office hours or weekly concept review sessions. In every case, we delve into curriculum content aligned with national standards.
Types of Office Hours
Drop-In Sessions
Drop by during office hours and join a qualified AECS Connect Academic Coach to review your chemistry questions. Small groups are limited ot eight students at a time with a student to teacher rotating Q&A system so that everyone gets a turn. Learn alongside academically focused individuals and pick up new strategies from chemistry students like you.
Core Concept Sessions
Core Concept session are dedicated chemistry unit review lessons with interactive practice problems that follow national chemistry curriculum standards. These are larger group sessions that are focused on covering unit concepts to prevent students from falling behind as well as to serve as reinforcement for a stronger chemistry foundation.
